2007 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

On October 15, 2007, eligible residents of The Village of New Norway will have the opportunity to exercise their democratic right to elect three Councillors.

Nomination Day is Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Village Office.
You are eligible for nomination if you meet all of the following criteria:
1. You are at least 18 years of age on or before Nomination Day (September 17, 2007)
2. You are a Canadian citizen
3. You have lived in Alberta for the six consecutive months immediately preceding Election Day (since April 15, 2007)
4. You are a resident of the Village of New Norway, for six consecutive months immediately preceding Nomination Day (September 17, 2007)
5. You are not otherwise ineligible or disqualified under the Municipal Government Act.

Election Day is Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Village of New Norway Office.

The Village of New Norway will also accept early votes by Special Ballot if you are unable to attend a polling station on Election Day.  
You are eligible to vote if you meet all of the following criteria:
1. You are at least 18 years of age on or before Election Day (October 15, 2007)
2. You are a Canadian citizen
3. You have lived in Alberta for the six consecutive months immediately preceding Election Day (since April 15, 2007)
4. You are a resident of The Village of New Norway on Election Day (October 15, 2007)
5. You have not already voted before in the election.
